DAYLIGHT / RASPBERRY PI
A Raspberry Pi. An idea. Daylight.
Daylight GNU/Linux is the free-software project of its founder and developer, Hamdy Abou El Anein.
The lighter you become, the more you are able to run.
Raspberry Pi is at the heart of the project. Add Daylight to 64-bit Raspberry Pi OS: choose the desktop, or just the tools on a headless machine.
Moving forward, keeping the history
Earlier versions were distributed as complete images. Version 5 brings Debian packages, Rust tools and a separate desktop session. Earlier releases and their history remain available under Old.
Explicit choices
GPLv3 for Daylight code, preserved third-party licenses, optional telemetry disabled by default and public source. Low overhead remains a technical goal; validations and their limits are available.
